BSP Supports Vanuatu Hockey Federation
The Vanuatu Hockey Federation (VHF) will host its Oceania Regional World Series Round One Port Vila Vanuatu, and Bank South Pacific is proud to one of the sponsors for this sporting event.
The tournament kicked off with an Opening Ceremony on Tuesday 14th August with a week-long of fixtures held at the Wan Smol Bag. Vanuatu, Tonga, Solomon Islands and Fiji will take on this challenge while Australia and New Zealand have qualified for the Round 2 of Oceania Regional World Series.
The International Hockey Federation has allowed the Vanuatu U18 Youth Olympic squad to participate in this tournament for their preparations towards the Olympic Youth games held later in October this year in Argentina.
"History shows that Fiji has been the strongest team in last competition, There is no doubt it will be a super close match between Vanuatu and Fiji in both the men's and women's, but with a home ground advantage and support we hope to leave the tournament with 2 golds,"said Jack Chillia VHF President
